Journaling

We believe that journaling is an essential element in building spiritual maturity. It strengthens our relationship with God, drawing us closer to Him and to each other as a body of believers. Journaling helps us to get the most of our study in God's Word. It grows our consistency and deepens our understanding. Yet, journaling is not difficult. In fact, it's easy and natural as you simply allow God to be the loving Father He is as He speaks to you through His Word.

SOAP: The Life journal employs the SOAP method. As we read the daily entry God impresses a Scripture upon us. As we consider it, we make some Observations about the passage in regards to encouragement, direction, connection, provision etc. We go on to write what we believe the Lord would have us take away as a lesson for Application in our life. Finally, we close our entry with a Prayer to the Lord about what He has impressed upon us.

Journaling is also much enjoyed in our journaling groups where God often speaks through others as we share God's Word together.
